In addition to her parents and husband, Heddie was preceded in death by five brothers; James, Robert, Preston, Marion, and Freddie Hayes, and one sister, Mary Bailey; sisters-in-law, Mae Frances Hardie, Elouise Johnson, Patricia Hardie, Barbara Jean Hedrick, and Della Wilks Hayes; brothers-in-law, James Bailey and Wendell Alsbrooks.
